Hi to all,

I am very new to this forum, and to the Oracle also. One thing I noticed, when I login to SQL Plus through window ,I used to get following prompt in which time is in front. eg
19:12:13 SQL>

But in some system, I used to get SQL prompt without timestamps in front.
SQL>

I wanted to know , when we login to the system which file is used , and how can we change this if needed?

Thanks,
Nage
