when I start the database manually it mounted but on the time of open the below msg is coming

Completed redo scan
783975 redo blocks read, 189155 data blocks need recovery

Looks like a normal crash recovery after a not-clean shutdown of some sort.

I did wonder the same thing. Smile

But perhaps it was just a copy/paste mishap with a browser hang thrown in the mix.

NOt my post. Let me try logging in. I got an email from a guy at work who said when he comes to orafaq he keeps getting my account login and can't get out. I'll check it and get back to you guys.

I changed my password. I am also contacting Avit to see what issue he was having with OraFAQ and why his computer was always going to my account page. If I can contact him today I'll do a screen sharing thing and watch what happens. One way or another I'll get it straight.
