When Purchase Order is approved by supervisor,
Buyer is create a new revision for the same document(PO).
Issue is when Buyer, clic approve PO is approved , and not follow a route approval.

Buyer can approve PO until 30000.
PO created is for 150000.

Hope you are doing good !! I hope you have got the solution for Issue If not you try the below suggestion.

For any Issues related to PO/Req approval we have check the 3 things 1) Document Types, 2) Approval groups, 3) Approval Assignment.

In your case as per my understanding
For Eg PO# 1001 (30,500) is approved a "Buyer" and it goes for approval and approved by "Supervisor".
Then Buyer is making the PO# 1001 (150,000) changes and approves but IT IS NOT GOING to "Supervisor" for approval. Right ?
If that the case, What is the PO# status "Approved" or "Requires Re-approval" ?
Check Inquire--->> View Action History it will show who as approved the PO.
