Hello
Is there a new oracle GUI from oracle that replaces Oracle Enterprise Manager version 10.2.0? i do have Oracle sql developer, however I found that is not as user friendly for managing databases in particular tablespaces

What do you find not user-friends re: SQL Developer and managing tablespaces?

View > DBA > Storage > Tablespaces allows you to create new ones, edit existing, add data files, etc.

More than happy to take constructive feedback.

Also make sure you're on a later version. The DBA features have been added fast and furiously since version 3.1.

There sure is: Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c.

Regarding SQL Developer, it's a development tool. A good one at that. However, I am not a fan of developer tools giving access to traditional DBA activities such as managing tablespaces.

if you say it's a development tool, then it is

if you say it's a tool for doing stuff in Oracle, then it is

>>However, I am not a fan of developer tools giving access to traditional DBA activities such as managing tablespaces.
if you manage security in your database by restricting users access to tools and buttons, then i cannot help you

SQLDev doesn't let your users do anything they don't have the privs (you granted them) to do

Also, many developers DO have access to OEM.

Ok, but just b/c it's not the right tool for you doesn't mean it's not the right tool for him/her.

This is a client tools forum after all Smile

I just want to manage the databases via a GUI much easier, i really like the old OEM, its still functional with oracle 12c but who knows for how long lol. As for the oracle sql developer i do see the tablespaces under DBA and Im using Version 3.2.20.09
I hope oracle will bring back the OEM

3.2 is pretty old, you'll see lots of improvements in v4 and v4.1

We never took away OEM? Unless you mean the Express version, in which case it's still there, but not at many admin features.
