Hi,

We have migrated a form from 6i to 11g which was using active X controls to capture the photo. But in 11g active X control is not supported. Can anyone suggest any work around to achieve this in oracle forms 11g? Bit urgent.

Thanks is advance.

As you've discovered, in Web Forms ActiveX is not supported. You will have to look at using WebUtil or a Custom Javabean to replace the ActiveX functionality.

Hi,

The reason is all the other forms and reports are migrated and deployed except this one. Customer wants to go live at the earliest. Without resolving this issue they are not ready to go live.

Have you searched the Internet for an alternative Javabean? I did a simple GOOGLE search and found this:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I am looking for some alternate solution to capture photo from webcam in oracle forms 11g. In forms 6i we were using Active X control to achieve the same which is not supported in forms 11g.

Went thru the link. They have not given any sample bean or sample code. Did not get any help from that link. So I have sent a message to them thru their website and awaiting the response.
