Hello. I am researching for the best operating system for Oracle's RDBMS 9i. My professor gave me three choices:

Unix

Windows 2003

Novell Netware 4.11 and higher

Help! Thanks!

hi

There are many factors which determines for O/S to Load oracle 9i

first of all tell is it Test database or production database.

and each O/S is having its own features so decide which O/S features matches for database activites.

and also u need to consider the security at database/system file levels...

if you want easy-use then i suggest for Windows

but do remember all the points before going for O/S

Probably you would get better performace on Unix.

Windows is easy to use (very easy to install and easy to work with).

No idea about Novell, but probably you got more help in the others OS if you have problems.

Good luck
