Hi,

I have a issue with statistics in my Oracle 9.2.0.4.0. I made ESTIMATE STATISTICS on my tables.  My database needs oftenly refreshing the statistics.  If not, the queries are performing slow.  I made it to refresh twice a day.  But still then the queries are slow.  Now its becoming serious.

FYI: cost based optimizer

OS : solaris 5.9

If a query performs really very slow, when i refresh the statistics on the table and perform the same query  it comes back fast.  I dont understand why its happening..

Need ur advice

How you estimate statistics and when (before or after your tables were refreshed)?
