Hi guys.. I'm new to this board and have really enjoyed/learned lots from all your advice/tips.

I am a university studend working on a summer research project on Oracle and DB2.

My Question - Does Oracle have a log file where it logs all activities in the database (inserts, updates, deletes etc...)?  All I was able to find was a little information on triggers... is this the only way to do it?

I am not concerned with the overhead of logging ALL the info for the moment as I am working on a really small database for now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Angie

Hi,

Also look at Oracle's Auditing facility. Lookup the AUDIT and NOAUDIT commands in the SQL Reference Guide.

Best regards.
