Hi,

Oracle should release Oracle 10G sometime in January 2004.

As usual, it will contain a bunch of new features. Here are a few highlights:

- Manageability improvements (some self-tuning features)
- Performance and scalability improvements
- Automated Storage Management
- Various Flashback operations (on table and DB level)
- Ability to UNDROP a table
- Ability to rename tablespaces
- Ability to transport tablespaces across machine types (E.g Windows to Unix)
- New "drop database" statement
- New database scheduler
- Support for bigfile tablespaces (DB size can be up to 8 Exabytes)
- Faster data movement with their datapump technology (expdp and impdp)
- Etc.

Best regards.

Frank
