hi,

Can any one tell me what should be the size of SGA for database having 20 user connected to it and size of database is 80 gb. Pentium -IV processor ,1 GB ram ...database is not 24x7 , redo log size is 50 MB....

I want to know that what should be the Approximate size of SGA so that the database can run properly....for above given case ....

Note:- There is 3 redo log file and there is 2 log switch per day (i.e log switch from redo 1 to 2 and then from 2 to 3), database is not in archive log mode. As cold backup are taken daily .

Non one can give you an exact size of SGA. You can start with 1/3 of total physical memory and ajust size later according to your database server behaviour.

Thanks
