We have some issues about Oracle Full-Text Search Index that need your help.

1. When we use the Near Operator, the manual documents said that “Oracle return an error if you specify a number greater than 100 for max_span parameter”, please tell us if you have another way to over this bound.

The Near Operator also does not have fix span parameter, doesn’t it? If it is true, please tell us if you have another way.

2. Another question is about Within operator, do we have any parameter to specify the order of the search terms. If we don’t, please tell us if you have another way.

Any help will be appreciated.

1) You cannot go more than 100 spans. If you want more than that
then you can use plain AND
2) You can try NEAR with WITHIN to enforce ordering, even though I have not tried it myself.
eg. (X ; Y ; Z) WITHIN column
