Hi,
If you use the online transaction processing template while creating a database using DBCA some additional database components will get installed automatically and you have no control over this. (you can’t unselect them). These including data mining, spatial, text and OLAP. These components require a separate license fee.

But if you select a custom database option you can unselect the options you don’t need.
My question is this if you have already created a database in a production system using the OLTP template but none of the additional components (data mining, spatial, text and OLAP) are ever used do you have to purchase license for this?

So it seems if you got it installed you have to pay!!!
